Whether you are doing a lot of this type of education, or not much at all, your responses to this survey will provide us with valuable information about where Community-Based Outdoor and Environmental Learning work is happening, or not happening, which can allow those gaps to be addressed. Other potential benefits may include:
• For you: your voice will be heard and help impact the future of environmental and outdoor learning in Maine.
• For your organization: your school/organization’s successes and lessons learned may be included in our final report as a model for others in the field.
• For Community-Based Outdoor and Environmental Learning: This research can help support and build a larger movement to improve and advance Community-Based Outdoor and Environmental Learning and its networks.
• For Maine: Data from this survey can provide real time supports and opportunities in Maine, both at the state level as well as supports from projects such as Team ME Outside.
• For other states: Maine is leading the way in this field and serving as a model for other states to do similar surveys.
